    Just saw this! Oh man, does this mean Platinum is being held back for PS3 + XBOX360 for this sequel? Will it be a total overhaul altogether? SO MANY QUESTIONS, but I certainly need to haul ass and finish the story for Continuum shift!
     
    Also, being in Europe and considering Continuum shift only came out here three months ago (with Calamity Trigger also only coming out 7 months before that) it feels REALLY soon, but I forget Blazblue has been with us since '09!
     
    As long as they don't cut Makoto from the roster - I'll be happy!

    @MooseyMcMan:  Yeah I kind of went ahead and called it 3 for dramatic effect. Although I guess i'd call CS + CS2 "Blazblue 2" since it does play pretty differently to Calamity Trigger.

    This is great news! I knew this was gonna be a thing because of the final episode of Teach Me, Ms. Litchi. But its still great to hear it confirmed. 
    Going to be interesting to see which direction they take their story in.  The fate of some characters are kind of in question thanks to that ending. 
    Love the BB series. Nothin' bad better happen to Noel. She better be playable still D: 
     
    Hmm, that article says Arcana Hearts 3 is getting a June retail release in Europe. But I read from somewhere that AH3 would be getting a early April release for the US PSN. Wonder why Europe is getting a boxed version and we don't.

    @extremeradical: Word on Mortal Kombat, but I can't imagine this game will come out until at least 2012 - considering CS2 is being released soon. I think it's likely to be a full sequel.

    Yes fantastic news a story and arcade mode for Makoto Valkenhayn and Platinum  would be a great addition, I just hope Arc don't make as many sequels as Guilty Gear X had :)

    @shakashuri: I was kinda bummed they didn't have an Arcade mode for Makoto and Valkenhayn (I understand why they didn't have story and both played a pretty good part). From the sounds of that interview they want to try and stay away from the esoteric craziness that dominated guilty gear games; although they don't seem to be doing a great job with Calamity trigger, continuum shift and now CS2 coming out since they'll basically have three versions of what is essentially the same game out (as can be seen from all the 'there's a 2' posts here)!

    @el_tajij: I'd argue there were some pretty big mechanic changes from CT to CS, and CS 2 is really just a balance patch more than a whole new game.

    @mwng: Ah yeah sorry, I guess I need to clarify - I meant to say 'what is essentially three versions of the same game in the eyes of the public'. For example I could totally forgive anyone who say, saw all three versions on a store shelf and be confused about the differences because it really isn't that clear cut. Although personally I feel it kind of adds to the charm of the series, it kind of goes against what they were saying in that interview about trying to make it more accessible - it seems right off the bat it's kind of grey about what they consider sequels and what are updates and such. Like for example, someone with a PSP and a PS3 might go - "Oh well I'm not gonna buy Continuum shift for my PS3 if CS2 is out soon for the PSP!" - when really the console versions are practically going to become CS2 with the next patch and release of Platinum.
     
    Maybe it's just cause here in the UK, I still see more copies of Calamity Trigger around than I do Continuum Shift so it just seems a bit of a mess. :D
     
    I totally agree though, when you get down to actually playing it - Continuum shift feels tooootally different to Calamity Trigger.
