An action role playing game by FromSoftware, marking the studio's debut on the PlayStation 4. It shares creative roots, as well as gameplay elements, with the Souls series.
I didn't know this. Are you sure they are invaders, not NPC's? Still, I guess that adds some tension. In addition it gets rid of cord-rippers since you'll kill them before they rip that cord out. I might like this change, I don't know.
A quick look on google and this appears to be true. If it is then I'm never playing this game online since I can't stand the multiplayer in these games.
If this is true it's an awful change unless you can block invasions. I'm still a bit unclear about that.
I don't know, doesn't sound bad to me. If you were in sinner in previous games people could invade you without warning too and it led to pretty neat situations. This really doesn't necessarily mean your guaranteed death, especially with backstabs being gone. Meanwhile I think it'll add tension and prevent people from just disconnecting when invaded.
You can block it by getting rid of the bell maiden, supposedly she's a red phantom but not a tanky instagibber of a monster.
Ha! I love that we're already doing the troll-helping that looks legit enough to actually make people want to try it-stuff. 2 hours and 18 minutes... come on GOTY 2015, hurry up.
@zevvion: The bell maidens are an actual enemy type, rather than an NPC, though I suppose that doesn't preclude there being some obscure content in the game that gets locked if you kill them.
