In my opinion , Blue Dragon is the best RPG on Xbox 360.  This game was also the first multi-disc game for Xbox 360 by being 3 discs long.  Here is the story in a nutshell:  Blue Dragon follows the story of five friends (Shu, Jiro, Kluke, Zola, and Marumaro) as they travel across the world to confront Nene, the evil king of the Grand Kingdom.  In this review I'm going to briefly talk about the graphics, music, and gameplay.

First off, lets talk about graphics.  The game has a nice, simple yet, very artistic style to it.  Akira Toriyama (creator of DragonBall) did the art for Blue Dragon.  I think he did a very good job with it.  Even though the main characters are just kids, they stand out from the crowd of other main characters in RPG games.  Critics have praised the game for having very good graphics.  Game Informer said "The characters look like sculpted figurines wandering around a world built to scale".
Shu, the main character of Blue Dragon.

Now lets move to the music of the game.  The music was made by famed Nobuo Uematsu, who made the music for the Final Fantasy games.  All the songs he made for this game are fantastic and set a great tone for each location of the game.  One of my favorite songs in the game is "A Smiling Face".  It's a very peaceful song that could fight in just about any RPG game if it wanted to.  I guess the only song most people didn't like was the boss battle song "Eternity".  It's a goofy rock and roll song that is kinda out of place in this game with ever thing else being orchestrated.

Now lets talk about the gameplay, which is what brings in or doesn't bring in people to this game.

One of the main producers of this game is Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of the Final Fantasy series.  The gameplay is basically taken from old school Japanese RPG games, like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest.  Each character gets a class like FF3 (not FF6) and in a nutshell, you can have warrior, white mage, etc. to use.  Many people have criticized the gameplay for not being original and just being like other RPG games.  I personally loved the gameplay in this title.  I'm a fan of old school JRPG gameplay, like Dragon Quest.

In conclusion, Blue Dragon is an old-school JRPG at heart.  If you are fan of old-school JRPGs or just a fan of turn based RPG games, then you owe yourself to check this game out.  I believe the game is only $20 brand new now so, it shouldn't hurt to buy it.  This is just a basic review for the game.  If you want to know more to make a decision to buy this game or not, check out other reviews for the game.

I hope you enjoyed my review for this game.  JJOR64 signing out!

Blue Dragon: This is the beginning (constantly) 0

The first game developed by Mistwalker, a developer headed by the legendary Hironobu Sakaguchi, Blue Dragon is an adventure into a very strange world, and an interesting old-school JRPG style to it, which is both a gift and a curse, given that games have moved on in certain areas that Blue Dragon could have benefited from.So will this be an enormous waste of time? Probably. But let’s dig into it anyway! Our Heroes...and Marumoro, leading the charge into hopefully certain death. The story begins as...

      The Essence of Mediocrity 0

Blue Dragon is a game that aims to take everything that everyone knows and loves about Japanes RPG's and package them all into one big game. Depending on your perspective, this is either the greatest thing on Earth, or something just short of Hell. I'm going to take the middle road on this one and say that while Blue Dragon does not introduce anything exceptionally new, revolutionary, or even distinguishing; it does take the JRPG elements that have been introduced in other games and refines them...
