I just thought this was amusing to share with the Giant Bomb community; i recently downloaded the Bodycount demo and i played through it while recording all of it along with my own voice. It seems pretty enjoyable if you ask me :]

Could use a lot of AA
Aiming Scheme is weird and feels unnatural
The AI is stupid
The UI looks unoriginal and uninspired
The gameplay and overall feel is just very substandard.

@Jethuty: Eh, i didn't really enjoy it to the point were i fell into like a "hypnotic state" but overall it just felt a lot like a throwback, arcade-like shooter that can be mindlessly fun from time to time. I probably won't pick up until it hits the bargain bin.
it felt really, really clunky.
the bad way

@Jethuty: Yeah, it's slightly cumbersome, but then again, that's exactly what i thought about Killzone 2 after playing the demo, but in the full game i got used to it quickly.
Yeah, but Killzone still feels really tight, same with Battlefield. It's unnecessarily clunky and cumbersome.
Also, not moving while aiming is a stupid idea
"okay, you're going down bitch!" *proceeds to reload in the middle while everyone is shooting at you*
haha that was a fun video. the game itself looks alright. for whatever reason, from a game by the team who made Black, i expected it to be a bit more.. flashy? i don't know. i felt like something was missing. the destruction seems kinda cool, though. just shooting your way through walls seems neat.
I did not like that demo one bit the fact that people still try to jam lean controls into controlers is weird and I haven't found a single game that does that well
@Jethuty: Yeah that is a bit bothersome. I think since the game is so in-your-face and up-close-and-personal all the time you're not really supposed to aim down your sights, and then that the lean and peek system is more intended to be used in cover.

The whole game feels like it's unresponsive.
I wouldn't say that it's completely broken. The demo was probably one of the most generic things I've ever laid my hands on, Wal-Mart Ibuprofen included. However, it all worked on a basic level. You point, you shoot, someone dies or something explodes. Every now and then you throw a grenade.I also downloaded the demo and played it. I know you can't judge a game based on a demo ... but this is the biggest pile of shit I've played this Summer. This game is beyond broken, I can't believe they're gonna release it.
My complaints with it fall more in line with this guys'

The whole shooter genre needs a good rethinking. Most of them are focused on giving people more mindless explosions and constant gunfire in run down shantytowns and back alleys, complete with iron sights and regenerating health. I am not yearning for the shooters of yesteryear like Doom and Quake, nor do I have any problems with iron sights and regenerating health. But something different needs to be done, something out of the box. Bodycount is a prime example of why someone needs to take the basics and completely rewrite the rules of shooters - because we've managed to find complete mundanity in virtual destruction.if you enjoyed this, then you have pretty low standards.

One good thing about the demo; the leaning system. Although I didn't like that they put leaning and aiming down the sights on the same button. The world doesn't need more Resident Evil ideas. One thing I'v been missing in shooters is just that leaning though. It's not much but it's a small tactical tool that can be implemented and having to "jump out and back in" in newer shooters because the lack of leaning, is really dumb. But that's what you get when all your buttons are for something that shoots or blows up. The "CoD controller" could take away the smoke grenade button and have you press back or something to switch your designated grenade type and have leaning on the left trigger, would be great.
@believer258: The only game involving shooting that looks fresh and innovative is Deus ex: Human Revolution, which hits store shelves next week. I want more choice and poignancy in my FPS', something that Deus Ex looks to deliver.I wouldn't say entirely innovative, since the original Deus Ex did the same thing. But yes, that's the sort of thing I was talking about and I am most definitely getting that game :)
