For realsies this time o.O

During Borderlands 1 we had a fun little gun thread going (courtesy of duder @Pie ) for people to post their best guns they found when playing the game and it was pretty fun.

Borderlands 2 is upon us. So lets keep the tradition going! But this time with a little bit more variety to spice things up:

• Firstly it's a thread for any gear, not just guns, but shields, grenades, class mods anything goes. Because all gear is more customizable this time around, have their own many legendaries and shit.
• Secondly lets not make it a boooring numbers game (and because best is such a subjective term when it comes to gear). Any cool shit you want to feature, be it useful or special to you, or something you just used for a long time and got attached to, or it's a gun you finished the game with, or you had a shit shield for a long time and this one suddenly made the game a cakewalk, or it just has a cool text or effect, whatever whenever!
• Format doesn't matter, post it how you want, plain stats or a dozen images from each side of the gun like a porno shoot, your show. But i thought it would be a neat idea to have a bit of flavor text or explanation why you are posting your thingamajig (so it's not just image spam or a bunch of stat lists ya know), it's only a suggestion mind you

You know to help feed each others loot lust, just share loot emotions (gasp!), or plain pimping your stuff out.

GO GO GO GO. Kill shit and loot their knickers!

Ok then i'll kick things off:

This is my first rifle. There are many like it but this one is mine.

My first Borderlands 2 gun. /sniff. It shot my virgin bullet in a storm to come. I will never sell it, ever ever.

What a waste of inventory space

Won it at the slot machine in moxxis. I've spent at least 10k on the slots just today alone. The damn thing shoots pellets in a cross/X Formation from where you shoot it. Its a beast. I wish I got it higher leveled.

Finally got a few oranges.

But first a sic purpl:

The damge for it's low level is very nice as is the fire rate. It's a very weird mix of various gun part manufacturers the base if Vladof but there is some maliwan and hyperion parts in it i think. Look pretty badass especially with that huge blade on the front.

It has an unlisted property sorta, it's projectiles do not do direct damage, they stick to the target and then go off after a delay.

So my first rocket launcher turned out to be a tediore orange ...

The special effect is that it's projectiles are much much faster, to the point that they are almost instantenous on medium distances, making it a very easy to use rocket launcher.

Also when you throw(reload) it, instead of floating wildly, it bounces/hops around on the ground creating miniature delayed explosions.

The sheer damage saved my ass a few times at low levels in a few nasty situations.

I don't have any amazing guns yet, but I can gladly say that Bewm dropped a Legendary grenade mod for me the first time I fought him.

The flavour text didn't make sense to me at first - but it turns out that it spits out 9 child grenades in two waves for 19 explosions in total.

I'm going to cry when I outgrow it, but then I could just pass it down to a new character or a friend or something.

Fuck, I've gotta buy this game. Two weeks from now I get paid and I'll have it!

Man... I really want to go and buy it tonight (especially cause I got all of my classwork done early) but I have so many other games to get through... I dunno, should I say fuck it and grab it? I'm realllllly tempted to do that...

Finally unlocked in Australia last night!

Been using this monster for a while now. So, so good. It slags an enemy like 50% of the time too.

Made a new character and found this messed up gun in the Hyperion barge. Oh man, wait 'til you get a load of this.

Consumes 2 ammo per shot, but only has one round available (and no, that one shot doesn't consume two rounds regardless). It has two barrels -- when reloaded, they load a one-shot clip into the left barrel. This is friggin' rich.

A pistol that can also shoot like a TMP, has no reload, great hip shot accuracy and best of all... Infinite bullets. -------------> OP

Also when you fire ADS, bullets make an 8 (infinte symbol) pattern.

My first purple grenade mod: Sticky homing cluster fire grenade. It's so awesome...flies through the air as normal at first, then locks on to an enemy, flies straight toward it and sticks, then explodes and does a fire nova, which causes six more fire grenades to spawn in the area. Does SO much damage.

Damn that's a FINE grenade mod!

I just found a pistol that when it reloads, you throw it and it becomes a grenade, then another pistol appears in your hands full reloaded.

This game is awesome.

Also, @MB: me wants!

I'm not sure what the stats actually are on this gun, but they are nowhere even close to what's reported. Fires five rounds at once in a star pattern and they move slow...it's more like a shotgun that reloads really quickly and does a ton of damage up close. The damage isn't +3000% but it's significant.

@Jeric: I have that same grenade mod and I still use it at level 18 lol. I will probably keep it in my bank forever after i outlevel it

A collection started of Moxi's gear:

The two SMG's I got from tipping her jar over and over. The shotgun is from a side quest of hers. The assault rifle is from finishing the bandit arena.

Wow, I didn't know that you could get guns from tipping her.

@jmood88: They were also the exact level I was when she chose to give them to me, so it seems like the guns scale to your level when she rewards you with them.

I have an assault rifle that's just a green, but it shoots incendiary grenades that bounce and explode on contact. When using the scope, it fires a burst of three grenades and just wrecks stuff.

I got some excellent stats on my Corrosive Teapot. It's almost TOO powerful against robots. And that scope... don't know if that's standard or rolled, but you can damn near see across the map with it.

Crappy cell phone picture because I'm playing on console, but...

Cost me everything I had, but at where I am right now in the game, it's pretty much a one shot kill with headshots on any enemy with or without shields. Also Giant Bomb users will probably enjoy the name. I got a laugh out of it!

Nice work on cataloging Moxxi related guns, but no...

You mean the Fallout reference? I know it's an old song that is simply used for the game's intro.

But this being Borderlands it is far more likely to be referencing it because of the game, as both have wastreland themes and Moxxi is a straight up Mad Max influenced character (with an underdome) where both game series draw some inspiration from :P It's also what most people will think of first when they see it.

I'm quite partial to this here assault rifle:

best part is, the bullets actually do AOE damage. Not a bad gunzerker weapon I must admit.

also got a gun like this. It's a level 12 version but i still use it at level 20+ as a backup when i run out of ammo.

Got this beauty from defeating Captain Flynt. I was very surprised to see an orange so early in the game. Its effect is that once a bullet reaches its target, a ball of lightning will then fire into the air a couple feet, kind of like a flare, then come crashing down on the target for additional shock damage. It's immensely satisfying unloading a clip into a phaselocked enemy and watching as they get showered in electricity if they survived the bullets.

@Tennmuerti: You got those Moxxi SMGs at Lv14? At Lv15, I dropped about $10,000 into Moxxi's jar and didn't get anything (though her stories are pretty awesome). Do you remember how much you gave her?

An early favourite

Only started last night, due to it only being released last night. So far this is my favorite gun, got it from the gold chest.

Bullets/Lasers bounce off shit, so it's fun to shoot a wall behind dudes hiding in cover and setting em on fire.

So I'm literally at the start of the game and I got an orange weapon and it is DESTROYING everything so far. It dropped from one of the enemies in the early side missions. Do named enemies dropped specific loot this time around still. Not sure if I got really lucky or if this is a standard drop for him.

I found this gun with shock damage in a dumpster! So rad.

Got this one today from doing a little side quest. A Hyperion sniper rifle that does slag damage. But that's not the most interesting part.

The gun nags at you. When you reload, it complains at you for wasting ammo, or that you had the sense to stop shooting once in a while. When you do crit damage and kill an enemy, it'll try to guilt trip you for ruining his family or saying he was probably having a bad day before you came along. Also says you don't exercise enough, from time to time.

The stats on it are still great, took a while to find another good sniper rifle to beat out my previous one, and this is what came along. The stats along with the nagging gives me good reason to put it in the Claptrap stash in sanctuary, I think.

I feel real unlucky seeing that you guys are finding all these legendaries so early on. I'm level 22, more than 18 hours in and have yet to find a legendary anything. Hell, I've only found maybe 5 purples.
