That is one fucking kickass trailer! Finally something to look forward to this year. So EXCITED!!!

Also <3 Claptrap wub wub

#3 Posted by Ghostiet (5208 posts) -

That's A LOT of wub wub.

#4 Posted by DrLove (357 posts) -

Great trailer, but BAD release date. This game would have perfect for the summer, i guess they dont want to rush it. But Halo 4 will own Sept sales.

#5 Posted by Akrid (1356 posts) -

Pretty weird that they highlight local splitscreen in the trailer...

#6 Posted by isomeri (1217 posts) -

The tune is "Doomsday" by Nero, if anyone's interested.

#7 Posted by Zidd (1836 posts) -

@Ghostiet: 98.6% MORE WUB WUB!

I hope the PC version is a bit better than the original borderlands.

After watching this trailer, waiting for the eventual 'Game of the Year' edition suddenly feels a lot harder. May just have to buy this on release day.

#9 Posted by valrog (3671 posts) -

Ugh, I #%&!?! hate the music. Guess I'll play Maya, other's don't interest me much, maybe with the exception of Salvador.

Also, Mad Moxxi!!

#10 Posted by Extreme_Popcorn (842 posts) -

Hooray for splitscreen and dubstep!

#11 Posted by JeanLuc (3565 posts) -

I'll buy that for a dollar! Hell, I'll buy that for $60 day 1!

#12 Posted by raiz265 (2232 posts) -

Let the brainless music hating ensue!

Music nazis go!

Looks awesome! I just hope there isn't too much dub step (ie, any dub step) in the final game, and that reload canceling still works.

I think the games are different enough that they won't massively cannibalise each other's sales.

Awesome trailer. I couldn't be more excited for this, Borderlands is probably my favorite game this gen.

If in-game Claptrap has a new found appreciation for dubstep, that only makes this better.

#17 Posted by OneKillWonder_ (1689 posts) -

Looks in-fucking-credible. I NEED this. Now.

#18 Posted by Ryman (31 posts) -

Well, this just jumped to the top of my 'Most Anticipated of 2012' list, GG Gearbox!

#19 Posted by James_ex_machina (905 posts) -

Can't wait.

#20 Posted by McBEEF (360 posts) -

Looks brilliant-should really finish the first borderlands though..

#21 Posted by Branthog (7340 posts) -

What an incredible trailer, though I concur that September is an awful release window for this. Not that it's going to hamper it, I'm sure, but really it should be a June release. Also, they made the world look so enormous and filled with such a variety of things that it seems like it almost should be a trailer for an MMO or at least a "big persistent multiplayer world"-style of game than just a co-op.

#22 Posted by HellBrendy (992 posts) -

I haven't seen the trailer yet. My erection covers the screen as soon as I hit "play".

Allegedly PC is lead platform for Borderlands 2. But I guess we'll see how things turn out in September.

Also, is it weird if I think it would be cool to be able to play as the fat lady? =|

#24 Posted by Godzilla_Sushi (1084 posts) -

Very cool!

#25 Posted by WinterSnowblind (7613 posts) -

The characters seem a little bland this time, not too impressed there.

Everything else looks amazing, I'm really happy to see Tannis and Moxxi are back.

Wub wub and blam blam. Truly this game looks amazing.

#27 Posted by MideonNViscera (2257 posts) -

Man, what horrible music. Graphics look awesome though, and we know the game'll rock.

#28 Posted by TheHT (10797 posts) -

Fuckin games are coming out. Damn dude, I don't gots the money for them all.

Looks great.

Day 1 for me and I hope to play with some GB udders this time. Got the GOTY edition of the first game so I missed the boat for when everyone was playing it.

True game design innovation will see a dubstep toggle in the settings menu.

THAT I'LL ALWAYS HAVE ON!

I don't really see that. I'm not going to buy halo, but I am buying borderlands 2. And I know a lot of people that are the same.

I love that. I still like playing games with a buddy on the same screen, not enough games include that option.

I love you Gearbox. Claptrop pop locking to wubwub made me happy.

Oh yes, this was a Borderlands trailer alright, made up of complete and utter awesome. Great track, great set of classes (Sirens fo'ever), all of the classic characters returning, splitscreen still available (!!!--seriously, I had the most fun with Borderlands playing splitscreen with my little brother for hours on end) and there's just so much in there, it's tough to take it all in at once.

This alongside Darksiders II will help me regain my love for the loot lust within action RPGs after the overwhelmingly mediocre Kingdoms of Amalur.

Loving the laidback feeling that's coming from this trailer, also:

I need more mad drops in my videogame trailers.

#36 Posted by djames216 (353 posts) -

Not working at the moment so I have to shop very carefully (I.e. not much) when it comes to games. Borderlands 2 is my one exception, can't wait to get it.

#37 Posted by BraveToaster (12590 posts) -

Beautiful. I can't wait.

#38 Posted by Slax (894 posts) -

That trailer was great! I still need to go through the claptrap dlc for 1.

I love splitscreen too, but why the hell would they feel the need to put it in the trailer?

As a massive Halo fan all I can say is fuck Halo 4, but I can't wait for Borderlands 2.

Do we know for sure that Halo 4 is coming out in September? I haven't heard any information about that game since last E3.

I will be getting both this and Halo 4. What i meant was all the marketing and meida attention will be on Halo4. I hope that this game gets the spotlight it should.

Probably because there's a good chance that Borderlands was a very popular game for people to splitscreen, so I imagine they're just inserting the 5 seconds of splitscreen time to cater to that crowd.

#44 Posted by geirr (2469 posts) -

I was waiting for dubstep guns during the trailer, if anyone could do it, Gearbox could.

It's a pretty safe assumption, Halo's come out in Sept and 4's out this year.

Exactly. For some people its a feature that will help sell the game. Hell I have friends who don't own game systems or ever play online but they'll play splitscreen games. I'm happy whenever a dev includes it.

@pepsimaxofborg
If Gearbox includes a dubstep gun this gets my automatic GOTY award.

Well, it's definitely a smart move to show PC footage in their release date trailer and I'm pretty confident that they'll give the PC crowd a good version this time around.

Well Halo 1 and 2 came out in November but I do see your point.

Dubstep fits perfectly with hours of mindless shooting in Borderlands. I love it!

Cool to notice the addition of ability for players to swap seats without getting out of the vehicles in the trailer. Gearbox seems to be taking some feedback to heart.
