@JoeyRavn: I believe it's more Mechro-mancer like Necromancer. In the video, Randy says she can summon the robot. I imagine it would be like raising the dead.

@Jams: In the first Borderlands, Patricia Tannis had a relationship with her recorder, so I guess anything is possible.

The suffix -mancy or -mancer means to have unseen knowledge, usually of a specific element.

She was also pretty much whacked out insane. The Mechromancer sounds pretty cool though, and he all but confirmed a playable claptrap.

I somehow figured she was that girl you meet in the story, they looked pretty alike.

I'm fairly certain they will have very different....erm....skill sets. Then again Best Friends Forever could take a whole nother meaning with either of the Sirens around.

Man, I wish this class was day one. I really would prefer to roll this. Probably the closest thing to my adorable demon hawk from the first game. Oh well, I'll go with the siren until this is released, she has the only other power that sounds interesting and fits my play style.

Coming out with the DLC 2-3 months after release would be great, I hate day one DLC just trying to suck more of your money.  If they put some time into her and maybe add a level cap bump, I'll be all over it.

If you haven't heard just yet, she's free DLC with a pre-order. It doesn't matter if she's day 90, day 60, or day one, this isn't a cash-grab. It is a way of increasing pre-order numbers, but it's a marketing strategy that is mutually beneficial.

While it kinda sucks that Mechromancer is post-launch, it will give me a reason to come back to Borderlands 2. Problem now is which class do I start the game with, since the one new class is the one I wanted to play through as?
