I cant see the american price, and the australian price of $69.99 seems a little too high for me.

Isn't that almost exactly the same price? Out here it's 50 euros, so roughly 63 USD. That was actually kind of surprisingly because I'm so used to games always getting priced higher in the EU states.

For future reference, you can can check American (or any countries) steam prices by adding /?cc=us (replace us with the respective country code, such as ru or uk) to the url, like this http://store.steampowered.com/app/261640/?cc=us

thanks if I add to cart there it charges the american price

weird steam usually doesnt charge more

They implemented it about a week ago or so. Everything in Canada increased in price as well - about 10% or so.

Kinda, but at the same time not really. Before we were paying for stuff in American dollars, which meant that we were typically paying more than the listed price (roughly 10% more for the last year or so) after the exchange rate was taken into account. Now instead it appears they just approximate the Canadian price based on where our dollar is in comparison to the US dollar. Right now our dollar is worth about 10 cents (plus or minus a few cents) less than the US dollar so it makes sense that everything is around 10% more in price (since after exchange rate we would be paying 1.1 time whatever the US price is). If our dollar was on par with the US dollar, we would expect prices to be about the same.
