Borderlands is a first-person shooter RPG from Gearbox Software that puts players into the shoes of one of four playable characters as they traverse the hostile planet of Pandora in search of a mysterious "Vault," said to contain priceless unknown riches and alien technologies.
Now that I look at it, I suppose it's pretty neat. I thought the stuff on the right was just a tear in the red but now I see that it's supposed to be the guy's brains. Nice.
I really don't get why people are oozing hot schmegma all over the changed art direction. I for one HATE the new art style. This game went from a "must have", to a "maybe", to a 'I'll consider renting when I have no other games to play."
" It doesn't do a good job of letting people know what borderlands is about, gearbox is hoping the near suicide imagery will get people to pick up the box. that will work in some cases, but i think more people might be put off by it if they don't know much about the game. "
Agreed.I personally like the boxart, but I think it definately has the potential to be overlooked simply because you can't really tell what kind of game it is by the art.I'm still buying it though.
