SO THE GOTY version of Borderlands on Steam IS starring me IN THE GODDAMN face and just threatening me TO BUY it. Is this game WORTH IT in terms of enjoyment FROM A SINGLE player perspective (I don't have ANY FRENDS who also own THE GAME. Can randoms JUST pop in?) or SHOULD I try to get SOME OTHER people to PLAY IT with me? 
 
Or should I JUST GET CIV V cause that SHIT IS TEMPTING too.

If you haven't played it yet, then yes it is worth it even from a single player perspective.  I played through the game nearly two times on my own and Jeff (here at GB) racked up most of his playtime playing solo when it was new.  I want Civ V, too.  If they are both the same price, then it depends on what type of game genre you like more.  Strategy or FPS with some RPG elements.

IN MY HONEST opinion it wasn't REALLY that GOOD. If I KNEW WHAT I WAS BUYING I wouldn't have BOUGHT IT in the first place.

IT is REALLY a good PRICE for everything that comes WITH it. But I don't know, the PC version was pretty lacking (super poor online IMO, got it working like every fourteenth try), and when you finally got it online everybody played with modded overpowered weapons that didn't make the game any challenge at all..

HM. I GUESS I'll hold OFF on buying it UNTIL I FIND out if Fallout: New Vegas IS ANY good. 
 
CAUSE IF it is that THING WILL probably be THE PRIORITY buy for THIS FALL. I'm FEELING A little slack IN TERMS of AAA games THIS season (I just PLAY ON my pc and a ps3, NEED TO buy an Xbox) WHAT with the delays and SHIT.

One of the best experiences I ever had in my gaming life.
 
Totally worth it.

I am going to be picking it up when it goes on sale even though i bought a copy for ps3 full price, and the normal PC version off steam. Its a great game, and worth many play throughs.

Have the GOTT edition on 360 now, and yes it's worth it. There's a hell of a lot of content in that package with all the DLC's and it's a damn fine game.

yes it's worth it.

I wouldn't have played it single player. A friend and I bought it on release and played through it a few times.
 
Multiplayer is really its most redeeming quality.

It's awesome and a total time burglar.  There's probably 100 hours of gameplay in the GOTY edition.   Next thing you know it's 1am and you're thinking, 'Man, if I can find just one more red chest I bet it will have an epic gun...'

I bought the GOTY edition a week or so back (for £25) and so far its worth it! The game alone in the UK is being sold (new) for roughly £25 - £30, so i picked it up because it was a good deal!
