Borderlands is a first-person shooter RPG from Gearbox Software that puts players into the shoes of one of four playable characters as they traverse the hostile planet of Pandora in search of a mysterious "Vault," said to contain priceless unknown riches and alien technologies.

Personally I see Dragon Age falling a little flat on its face because of a cliched storyline and generic abilities. Borderlands, on the other hand, seems like it'll be a fun, light RPG/Shooter. I never expected something revolutionary, so maybe that's why I don't think it will be a huge disappointment, but I doubt it will be awful or anything near to it.

Believe me with a game like Dragon age alot of it doesn't lie in the story line, it's mainly in the gameplay, i thought the story line to Icewind dale 2 was pretty bad, but I love the pause and play combat. The generic abilities are what's calling my name.
Also does anyone know Dragon age is based on any kind of rule set?

im loving this game, the cinematic trailer was awesome and i cant wait to get it, im considering buying a new PC just for it, but that trailer smells of dissapointment to me. i feared that it might be just running in circles pumping shellls into your enemeis fell over, which that trailer was. howvever, really what else can it be, and there were some bits where guys were downed in three shots, which is what i was hoping for. afterall, its an RPG, so all in all, still sold. the vehicular combat from that looks shocking though, hopeuflly it was just in a bad light
