I wasn't even aware that red text indicated game benefits. I thought it was just flavor. That explains why my "Give Sick" pistol is so kick ass now.

Some of these may be incorrect.

I just got a pistol called "The Dove" that has the following stats:

    Level 24
    Damage 47 x2
    Accuracy 77.6
    Fire Rate 3.7
    Magazine Size 14
    Sometimes I Forget To Reload.

According to the list linked above, this gun should have infinite ammo. It uses ammo the same as any other weapon in the game so far...it needs to be reloaded when the magazine is empty, and it does not regenerate ammo so far as I can tell.

It's funny that there is speculation on some of these, as most of them have the actual stat shown on the weapon itself.  For instance, if the gun has red text that indicates a large magazine size, then it'll say in white on there "such% magazine size".

There are only a couple that I haven't seen this on.

That is really weird. Mine is exactly the same, but the infinite ammo works.

I think one of the reasons Gearbox threw them in is so that when your glancing at them on the ground you can tell instantly that theres something cool or unique about them, for example "big tony says hi" means that the weapon (usually a pistol) has a large mag. Would you notice that if the red text werent there?

The gun heals you. It's basically like having a slow healing shield equipped when you are holding that gun.

Is there any else that that thread but for the things you get with class mods?

Because I don't know what half the stuff means on my class mod apart from the more obvious ones, and it makes it hard to decide which ones best.

Class mods add extra skill points to a specific skill on your tech tree. For example, if a hunter has a class mod that has "+2 Bird of Prey", that means it adds 2 points to the bird of prey skill. But it will not show it on the skill tree and you must have the skill unlocked in order for it to work.

Thats not entirely true. My friend and i did some testing and came up with the following results:

We tested it with the sirens Diva skill which increases shield capacity making it easy to test and it´s in the first tier, so it´s always unlocked.
We had a mod that gave +2 to the Diva skill
Basically it only increased shield capacity when i invested a skill point and it also increased shield capacity more when i had 5 points invested.

1 : You only get the skill point benifits if you already have 1 point invested in it not just unlocked.
2 : It is possible to get bonuses beyond the 5 point skill limit.

I found a shotgun with insanely high damage that says "Holy crap it shoots rockets!" and just like it says, it fires tiny rockets that do massive damage and use shotgun shells for ammo.

Hah! I have a low level weapon that says " A lead wind blows...". I wondered what that meant. Awesome.
