There's been a bit of hub-bub lately over the art style being used in Gearbox's upcoming shooter, Borderlands. While the latest issue of PC Gamer has some sort of exclusive on the info, all the fervor over the game has led to a shot of the game being tossed up on the game's official site. So as not to ruin the exclusive, it's covered with what amounts to an ad for PC Gamer, which is a weird-but-fair way to deal with the situation.
But let's not beat around the bush. Here's the shot:
I haven't really seen anything on Borderlands since last year's E3, where they were giving canned demos to rooms full of people. I thought it looked like it could be something really special back then, so it's a nice surprise that it's getting a bit more style than the average first-person shooter gets these days. I assume we'll be getting a fresh look at the game at E3 this year, so consider this the first game on my list of games I really want to see at E3 this year.
