Overview
Box! Open Me is an augmented reality puzzle game by Japan Studio and the PlayStation C.A.M.P. program for the PS Vita. It tasks the player with opening a trapped box, avoiding traps and activating mechanisms using the touchscreen. The game has boxes of differing levels of difficulty, from simple wooden chests to metal containers with high-tech security, and also a set of cooperative boxes which require two people, each with their own Vita, to open. It was released in Japan on December 20, 2012.
On November 21st, 2012, a special preview edition of the game was released in Japan to promote the release of AKB1/149 Renai Sousenkyo on the Vita later that year. It allows the player to open a virtual copy of the game's limited edition packaging using a printout of the games cover art as an AR card.
