Why does Brad touch the back of his neck/head EVERY time he talks? I don't know why, but it really bothers me. Even after years on GB, I don't think I've ever seen anybody address this. Please help.

@Lethal: Well, you need to overcome the fact that someone's mannerism bother you. I recommend turning off the computer and going outside.

#11 Posted by Lethal (20 posts) -

He has probably rubbed the skin on his neck to a marble-like smoothness by now.

#12 Posted by Lethal (20 posts) -

I will never go outside. Never.

#13 Posted by ToastMan (87 posts) -

He does that because he's a human and that's a thing that he does. There's no particular reason for it in the same way that you find it bothersome.

It's not a nervous tick. That's where the alien parasite-organism sits. He's not scratching his neck, he's soothing it into submission. If he didn't, it'd take control and force him to all kinds of weird shit.

It's a nervous tick that has burrowed under his skin and will no doubt grow and eventually burst out of him like a shell just like it did Carlton in that movie Ticks.

ITT: we learn of the OP's unwavering attraction to Brad and the back of Brad's neck.

You are indeed an intelligent organism. My love for Brad and his sublimely sculpted neck is unfathomable.

Wrong. Brad is clearly a robot. Since his internal processor is vastly overclocked to render the deep dulcet bass of his voice chip audible for mortal ears, he needs to vent excess heat occasionally or risk Red Ring of Brad. Touching the back of his head opens a small port along the small of his back to let some of that heat out.

It's pretty harmless when you think of the kinds of nervous ticks that are out there, such as masturbating in public.

It seems like some kind of defensive posture, like he's getting ready for someone to hit him in the chest while he's talking. Getting that elbow up early to block and curl into a ball.

Fits into how he dislikes anything remotely 'type a' or 'macho' instinctually, fits anyone with muscles into the 'dudebro' category. Which I guess would include Vinny.

Is Brad afraid Vinny is going to punch him in the stomach and take his lunch money?

There's another, tiny Brad back there. He's not rubbing, he's pulling. That is to say, he's pulling... *sunglasses*... a Brad.
