Brad Shoemaker was a senior editor of Giant Bomb from 2008 to 2021, and a former editor for GameSpot. He was the third host of the Giant Bombcast. Voice of an angel.
If you want to know my answer, I say no. Seeing how the guy keeps pulling Brads, I would probably have ten minutes to live before he pulls another Brad.
I don't know, i mean its not that i know Brad good enough to make that kind of a discicion. Just looking at his quicklook record, i would have to say "Hell no!!"
Who is brad shoemaker really? I mean really really? Do you know him socially? Because I don't. He's just some funny and cool guy that I see and hear in podcasts. Does he see or hear me in enough videos/podcasts to know straight off he trusts me with his life?
Hell no! So why would I do the same. I only trust people, who trust me, and have good reason to.
I could walk upto brad on the street and the thoughts going through his head would be: "Who's this overly-happy guy I don't know saying 'Hi' even though we've never met? Oh great. He must be a fan... Just be nice for a few minutes, autograph the piece of paper/video game box/Giantbomb merch' and cautiously walk away."
I mean if somebody offers you a wad of cash and a car for free, you'll always (if you're smart) wonder what the catch is. "Am I going to quickly have cops on my ass as I drive off in this vehicle?"
So I respect him and trust his gut reaction when it comes to games, and I'd probably be that fan that excitedly says "Hi", AND I'd be the guy who get's his autograph. But only once we had a good enough reason to trust each other would I risk putting my life in anybody I trust's hands. And I believe the same sentiment would come out of brads mouth were he asked the same question about someone else. I don't know for sure though.
So I ask again. Who is brad shoemaker really? ;-p

Ppft, you guys are looking at it the wrong way. It's not a question of whether Brad's dying in a game, it's a question of how long he's letting his video game avatar live.
In any case the fella's still alive so I'd say he's as a good a candidate as the next guy is.
