I may hold out until they drop the price... The demo seems to satiate me.

Well I just downloaded it now and paid for it without trying the demo...so it's worth it for me, though this has been my most anticipated arcade game all year.

This game is seriously amazing. If you care at all for games as an art form, you owe it to yourself to get this. It is well worth the price of admission. I am absolutely blown away. Even if you don't care for its more pretentious trappings, the puzzles will make your head asplode. Portal ain't nothing compared to this, I'm serious.

Dude there are a tone of freeware indie games similar to braid. Check out tigsource.com and their database at db.tigsource.com for more info.

I know that there are other games like Braid out there...I just want to see more games like this on XBLA/PSN/WiiWare because those services can open up a game to a much wider audience. There are a lot of gamers who don't know anything about indie gaming because it's mostly a PC thing...instead of getting a bunch of games like BrainAge, Crossword Puzzles etc I would like to see more games like this hitting consoles.

It's worth the money if you don't mind feeling like you should throw your controller through a window. I really like this game, but the puzzles were designed with frickin' witches in mind.

How long is it, and does the story business remain as dumb as it was in the demo?

it's probably an hour if you just go through the doors. but probably something like 4/5 hours if you want to get every single puzzle piece and see the ending :)

The game is great and I have payed full price for it.  Is it worth 1200 points?  Thats $15 US and $19.20 Australian um no not in my opinion.

I dont think any game on XBLA is worth anything over $10.  If Prince of persia was 800 points so should have this.  Dont purchase it, just wait for Microsoft to lower the price which I really hope they do.

At 1200 points  they are really limiting the audience this game will get too and that my friends is the REAL shame.

I have to admit I was startled by the price at first, but after playing through it, I can honestly say that it is worth it.

How much is $15 really? That's about an hour at work for me.

But for people with a tight budget (read: jobless) Braid probably isn't your best bet at a good summer arcade game. I justify my purchase for Braid simply on the the fact that I love a game that blows my mind on puzzles, and that's something that Braid does often.

Like a good puzzler? Braid is sick wit it. But for the people who don't I would wait for Rearmed or Castle Crashers.

I really enjoyed the demo and I will be getting it. From the pictures, I thought it would be boring, but it's really good. Putting the puzzle together to make the bridge to get the piece was rewarding.

Will the price ever go down?I really do want to like this game, it's just $5 too expensive for my liking.

And I don't like to support developers that I feel overprice their products no matter how much everyone is talking about it.

    TO ALL OF YOU GUYS

I'm a pathetically poor person to buy a XBLA game for $15 i.e. 1200 MS points but after playing the jawdropping demo, I'm glad that I bought BRAID.

It's expensive yes, but it's one of my favorite purchases. Once you play it through, you'll NEVER think about the price and you're brain will focus on the puzzles at hand.

One of the MOST rewarding experiences of all time

I guess if you don't like original games or with a deep and engaging story or revolutionary gameplay mechanics, or feeling that your purchase goes towards a genuinely devoted developer

then I guess yeah Braid isn't worth it

After just playing the first few puzzles on the trial I was sold. Definitely worth the money. You have got to play this game.

You could get 3 bad Retro-ReReleases that you play for 15 hours and forget, or you get Braid, spend 5 to 7 hours playing it and won't forget it ever again, because it changed your views.

To me, Braid are the best spent 1200 MSPoints so far.

I agree, I won't buy it for 15$. Judging from the demo it does not seem like the game for me.

I enjoyed it for a time, but I must admit, i'm finding it incredibly hard. Almost to the point where i'm thinking about fucking it off and just looking at some kind of guide, leeching the achievements and lementing 1,200 points I could have spent elsewhere.

I don't know if I can say this game is worth the money. But either way it's a serious must play, and I'm glad I got it despite my thinking it's overpriced. Stupid answer, I know. But thems m'two cents.
