First Game I can safetly say is art

Braid is a special game that only comes along every once in a while. Its time bending puzzles are something new and fresh and a great addition to the Live Arcade library. The whole game revolves around collecting puzzle pieces using a time bending mechanic. There are 60 puzzle pieces in all and all the puzzle pieces in each of the 5 worlds form a picture.

Braid is a game that is hard to explain and needs to be experienced first hand. You hold X to reverse time. On top of that, all 5 worlds add another layer onto that. For example, in world 3, there are certain objects that will not be affected by the time reversal. Another is in world 5 where your shadow will go and do what you just did after you reverse time. Really mind bending stuff.

The games art style I believe is fantastic. It really suits the game. My only complaint with this game would be that it is incredibly short. On one hand that is a bad thing, but I try to not to fault it because each puzzle is new and fresh and I am glad they never repeat. If the game carried on to be a 4 hour game, you could start repeating puzzles and ideas and that would ruin the experience.

At times the game can be really frustrating but once you manage to figure out what needs to be done, it is really satisfying. This game defiantly warrants the 15 dollar price tag and is a game that everybody needs to experience.

I want to play Braid again, to have those same revelations, those same discoveries all over again. I want to find the solutions to those devious puzzles, to see the bizarre creatures, to delve into every unique mechanic the game has to offer. Just once more, from the top. But I can't. The least I can do, however, is to help you see those revelations for yourself. Braid is...

A haunting, memorable, interpretative piece of art. 0

I don’t know where to begin. I guess I’ll start at the beginning. Or at least the beginning of my experience with Braid. I didn’t know anything about this title when I downloaded the demo off of live arcade. I never followed a single preview. I was completely in the dark all things Braid, but five minutes in to the demo I realized that this was something amazing. At first I thought I understood Braid. A simple platformer with a fantastically implemented time mechanic. In Braid you play as Tim,...
