Has anybody played this and if so what did you think about it?

I saw this game on Yahoo's front page for games under a $1 and it seems pretty good.  So has anybody played it and if so how was it?

It's sidesplittingly funny. It's also got a surprisingly good battle system. If it were 10 bucks that might be a stretch, but I'd still consider buying it.

For a buck, it's absolutely unmissable.

I like it.  What appeals to me is how fast the combat is.  You can blast past all those damage reports and there isn't much dialog in the game.  For $1 it's one of the better games.

they have it on xbox live indie.

I just bought it and am about 30 minutes in and it is really fun.  Probably the best $1 I have spent on a game but then again I don't know if I have ever bought a game for $1.   Buy this people so they will make more like it.

It is a parody game and it does have a lot of funny parts so far but what I like about it is that it is actually a pretty good NES/SNES era RPG.

The modern innovations (capped random encounters? hell yeah!) make this game sublime

It's great fun. Capped random encounters are a great idea (though of course you can engage in non-random battles after you hit the cap if you want to level some more), and keep you at a pretty balanced level of challenge.

Hmm this and Cthulu Saves the World are now on Steam for cheap.

Considering grabbing them, looks really interesting and my favorite rpgs of all time are all on the snes for the most part.

Awesome. Breath of Death and its sequel are $2.99 on Steam. An absolute steal. Complete must-buy.

Bought them a couple of hours ago.

Never heard of them but after watching you guys gush about it and the "has to be a mistake" price on steam i just bought them. lol

How can I not pick them up at that price and after seeing this thread?

I bought it yesterday on Steam and finally played Breath of Death VII. I lost hours of my life! It's cool and hurts my brain that made a pixelated game in 720p. Without it looking weird like in Half-Minute Hero.

Just bought this the other day on XBLA Indie games. I'm kinda hooked on it! Its fairly simple, but a lot of fun, tons of references to classic RPGs. Best $1 I've ever spent.

Yeah, this is awesome. I just enter a cave, force battle until the counter goes to 0, go back to town and save, then explore the area completely care free!
