Iverson joined Electronic Arts in 1986, and developed their popular image editing suite DeluxePaint II. His first foray into the simulator genre was SU-25 Stormovik in 1990, which he was a programmer for.

He went on to get the lead designer role for LHX Attack Chopper, Chuck Yeager's Air Combat and U.S. Navy Fighters, and for a while became one of the household names of Electronic Arts, getting his name featured on the box art in the same manner as Sid Meier.
