Bretons are a human race native to High Rock. Their ancestry contains elven blood and gives them a natural aptitude with and resistance against magicka. Their origins lay in the first era of Tamriel when the Aldmer intermingled freely with the human population. This may account for their elven blood.
Although they a lacking in physical prowess when compared with the other human races of Tamriel, especially the Imperials, Nords, and Redguard, they make up for this with their natural affinity for the arcane arts. They are also know for their talents in the kitchen and can be found working as cooks throughout Tamriel.
