A multiplayer-focused, class-based first-person shooter running on id Tech 4, in which oppressive soldiers and anarchistic terrorists battle for the few remaining resources on a failed paradise known as the Ark.
This has to be one of the stupidest arguments for something being sexist I've ever seen. OP seems like they'd get simillarly made if all the female characters in it wound up being sexy, too, because "no woman can look like that" or some such shit.
Isn't "Anti-female" a little strong? How about... "Brink is anti-spending time and resources to model and texture and mo-cap (or whatever the fuck) another set of characters with their own unique movements?" Better?
This came off with more snark than intended. Just always amazes me what the internet gets upset about.
" A lot of games are apparently anti-female, which is a shame because I like having female characters (typically their body mass is slightly smaller than their male counterparts; meaning it gives me a bit more of a edge in dodging shit). "
That is not at all the reason why you play female characters. Perv.
Brink looks like a multiplayer shoot stuff and it's supposed to be cool because it's class based and who doesn't like shooting other people online type of game. Looks boring to me.
I think seeing the "heavy" female character models would be amusing. Oh well. If the integrated campaign stuff really works as advertised it looks interesting enough. THat and the shooting parkour.
There are hundreds of games which don't have female playable characters, let's not make a big deal just because you found another one to add to the list.
I am putting a bullet in the head of this zombie-thread. It was dumb when it was made and it's dumb now.
