I thought I'd be the last person whose life would be impacted by the ashy exhalations of Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajokul (don't worry, I looked it up). But when the developers at Splash Damage were prevented from heading to Las Vegas for a Bethesda event a couple of weeks ago, I cursed our planet's overactive geothermal activity for keeping me from getting a close look at their new game Brink.  
 
Skies full of volcanic ash can't stop the Internet, though, which Bethesda was able to use to send us the newest screenshots of the game. Here's the best we can bring you on this interesting-looking class-based shooter until E3, where Bethesda says the game and developers will in fact be present for our perusal.

At first I wasn't really interested in this game, but the more I see of it the more interested I get.

My interest level these days? Well, it's definitely not as high as it was when those three videos popped up. Game looks great, but I need to see someone play it. Someone I can trust. It needs to be a quick view of the game, as well. Get it? A quick look.

This is still one of my most wanted games of this year.

Looking forward to it, I just can't stand how the people look.  They look so weird...

My interest level is high. Art style is fresh, they're trying new things with mechanics. Single player campaign is getting love. Will be keeping my eye on it.

p.s. that cinematic trailer reminds me of that proposed "leaked" footage of Beyond Good & Evil 2 awhile back

 
I need to see gameplay.  That trailer is to cheesy for me.  Every character type is basically a teenage click.  From the token black guy to the hooded emo gazing at the sunset. 
 
Show me some boss class based shooter gameplay and I'm in.  But that crap, just bores me, the way the shitty matrix sequels do. 

This is the game I wanted after playing Quake Wars.  MOAR!

it looks pretty good so far. i just hope the single player AI is good enough cause i can never get my friends to play games i want to online

Brink is filling a personal void that FreeRadical left when TimeSplitters 4 was canned. While I know the characters lineup will not be as diverse as the TS series, it just looks like it feels like a TimeSplitters game.

Interest level: still skyrocketing. 

I hope this game will turn out alright.

As long as the controls are tight, I'm in. I could stomach Mirror's Edge's sluggish controls because there wasn't much (or any) shooting, but this game has to nail it. Sounds like they're concentrating on that aspect though, so I'm hopeful.

Hopefully a demo comes out. I have little interest but will need a demo to convince me to buy it.

My interest rate is at 11 at the mo. Mirror's Edge + Enemy Territory + round reticule = fuck yes.

Wow, the first 45 seconds of that video I thought I was watching a reskinned Team Fortress 2.  I know it's a successful game and all, but come on...

The cinematic trailer is awesome, and the screenshots are great. But I need to see the gameplay in action to see if it holds up. It sounds like a promising idea, if it's pulled off, and works well.

I still hate the character designs, but the parkour/shooter mix still has me interested.
