Brütal Legend is a humorous heavy-metal, open-world, action-adventure game with light real-time strategy elements. As Eddie Riggs, lead the people of the Brütal World to rise up against the Tainted Coil demons who rule the world, and their leader, the sinister Emperor Doviculus.
What is your favorite faction to play as?
Personally really like the Drowing Doom. Their de-buffing is just so much fun to utilize, not to mention their double teams seem pretty damn effective.
Not to mention I love those gloomy goth kids.
Ironheade seems much easier to play after playing through the campaign. I need to play some pratice rounds with the other 2 to try and learn the units.
I havent played any muliplayer yet but i plan to but the drowning doom seem like you could do alot of damage with all the debuffing and the tainted coil of course are beast with they're hierchy stuff and being able to spawn units on the battlefield but i think No matter what i'm gonna like good old Ironheade always cause they are straight up aggressive damage all the way!
I default to Ironheade becuase I've played the entire game with them.. but honestly.. I wish there was a Lionwhyte faction :(
"I default to Ironheade becuase I've played the entire game with them.. but honestly.. I wish there was a Lionwhyte faction :( "Me TOO! I know that they'd essentially just be a re-skin of Ironheade, but you'd get to be fucking Lionwhyte!
"Yeah, I've had a few searches take a long time to find a match. There are definitely people playing, but I'm not sure there are THAT many.I prefer Drowning Doom, its an awesome faction but I cant seem to find any matches online, Ive been searching for 10 minutes and I havent found anything
"
drowning doom because you got a hot bisexual leader who dances with lesbian brides
whats not to love?
Ironhead because I haven't mastered the tech trees of tainted coil and drowning doom.
Ironhead just needs to tech up to fire baron, then harrass incoming forces and fast tech to the massive tank. Then you can run in with an army of upgraded razorgirls and the tank. Unstoppable as long as you can survive the fast tech. Even the bleeding death can't take out the tank (as long as you trap it in the Bladehenge attack).
As far as I've been able to tell so far, Ironheade has individually powerful units that are expensive but can be effective in small numbers and have a big range advantage in late game. Drowning Doom is most effective when they have a large, diverse army that uses expendable units to occupy the enemy while support units do the real damage. Tainted Coil is best as a rushing army that can sustain assaults, but they are very dependent on their commander to support their armies (a good player can kill their spawn units if left unprotected and the rest of their squad falls apart).
Am i wrong?
No, you're not wrong. Being a specialist in Drowning Doom, I know their most important units are their support units, the Bride, the Organist, and the Dirgible. It's also super important to know what each double team does and what situations that it is good for. For example, I've taken over Ironheade's massive Rockcrusher and some of the more massive Tainted Coil units by using diversion tactics in conjunction with the Frightwig to convert them or the Organist to literally possess them.
Lol, so you're one of those drowning doom players. It's a very strong faction I admit, wish I had more time to practice with them. However I have learned (the hard way) to always take out the Organist first in any engagement. Btw, I'm conviced brides are one of the best units in the game considering they are available so early. When they have been fully stacked they practically disable an entire army and they seem to be the only counter (along with frightwigs) to fire baron rushes. It's like the poor bikers run out of gas.
" ME and my friend have done loads of online games, only won a few and they were as Ironheade, so I picked themYou know, you can say that the friend was me.
@bonbolapti: Lionwhyte faction would just be Ironheade... But with Glam Metal Colours? "
Ironheade are just easier for me to use, compared to The Drowning Doom and Tainted Coil. I think a campaign with the other two factions may've changed my mind, but using Ironheade throughout the story mode feels a lot safer for me. I will probably practice with the other factions sometime soon, but I'm happy at the moment.
tainted coil ftw, i used to like ironheade but i think the coil is way better. skullrakers can kill fire barons in one hit with ts double team.
I really like the Drowning Doom, but I tend to play IronHeade more simply because of the matches I keep getting. Essentially, the only way I've found to constantly preform well is to get unlock Fire Barons and Headsplitters as fast as possible, amass a large force of both, hop on a double team with a Headsplitter, and assualt the enemy stage. It has rarely failed me.
I've only used IronHeade so far but I'm going to try out Tainted Coil tommorow and see if I'm any good with that faction.
I mostly stick with Ironheade as fast, heavy assault is what I'm tailor made for, and I'm not sure my strategies would work best with Doom and Coil.
On the OTHER hand, Tainted Coil is fast becoming tied for my preferred faction. They're healing system is superb, the Hierarchy is really easy to understand, and I won a stage battle very easily by expanding my army to huge proportions and distracting the enemy, while I sent one Bleeding Death straight to the stage, where it demolished it just before it keeled over.
