I would love to see a sequel to this game. Not because i thought it was the best game ever ( in fact i had a lot of problems with it), but because i see the potential for Double Fine to fix their mistake and make it the amazing game it should be.
Do you think Double Fine should have a second chance?
Brütal Legend
Game » consists of 10 releases. Released Oct 13, 2009
Brütal Legend is a humorous heavy-metal, open-world, action-adventure game with light real-time strategy elements. As Eddie Riggs, lead the people of the Brütal World to rise up against the Tainted Coil demons who rule the world, and their leader, the sinister Emperor Doviculus.
Would you want a Brutal Legend Sequel?
Definitely. I love the universe it created. I don't dislike the command battles as much as others, but if they made a sequel it would be a good idea to make some adjustments to that gameplay.
Right now I'm crossing my fingers for a Riggnerok based DLC, but a full fledged sequel would be nice too.
I'm hoping for more of a spiritual successor to brutal legend. it'll be called 'Buckwheat Legend' and feature Billy-Bo Bob who gets whisked away in time to the age when country music ruled. instead of the duece Billy drives a big-ass pickup truck, using his acoustic guitar and farming tools as weapons to slay such beasts as evil ex-girlfriends/wives and dead dogs. GOTY if i've ever seen one.
If it was another company I'd say yes, but I'm too curious to see what Doublefine will do next if it wasn't - so no.
I'd love to see a Brutal Legend sequel, but what I'd love even more is another wholly original Tim Schafer game.
Fuck yes!!!
Does anyone else just love the Relic Raiser solo? And the nigh he does when he founds the clementine =D
But i think you should be able to use the solos anytime as an attack.
Yes! The closer I was getting to the end, the more I was hoping the ending would be open for a sequel. I know that sounds weird, but I had so much fun exploring the world, and going through the story. I absolutely want a sequel! And a soundtrack! I would actually love to see a soundtrack released on Vinyl that looks exactly like the one in the menu. That'd be incredible.
Yeah! I want one. I still love the story and likes the Stage Battle. I hope they will create first a new IP in the next 2 Years and then they sould work on Brütal Legend. I hope for the next generation.
" No, I think double fine should keep on making original games "This!
Besides, I think Double Fine's ego is too great to say they want to "fix" problems in the first game and make a sequel. Psychonauts had it's problems, but was still a great game and Tim Shaffer didn't need to create a second game to flesh out the great universe he created just to tune up some platforming and combat issues. DF needs to do what they do best. Keep creating new IPs with lovable characters in a fantastic universe.
I would like Tim Schafer to make an entirely new ip or a Psychonauts 2, because I like that world more.

Indeed, Psychonauts 2 please.
I would like a sequel but not right now. I'd rather see another new title come out before another sequel. The best games for me are always the ones that can stand on their own in a series.
Nope. Tim Schaefers ass should not be given another chance to hype up a game and for people to be salivating at the thought of sucking on his testes only for it to fall flat again and for the publisher to lose yet more money. How many different publishers has be made a game or worked for? Sequels make money. And original games can make money, otherwise we would not have sequels! I am sure he would love a sequel for Psychonauts.
Fix the gameplay, have more variety in the universe (1/4 of the land was so empty), make the game longer, balance out the factions for multi-player, and Double Fine would make a great sequel- of course with the other stuff that was perfect like story and characters.
Then again, Double Fine should make a new IP or maybe a sequel to Psychonauts.
Tim Schafer's not a man known for creating sequels to his games, mostly because he doesn't leave too much room for a sequel. I mean, i'd love a sequel to Grim Fandango or Full Throttle, but where could you go with those games (with those characters atleast, you could try crafting another game in the same universe, as long as you base it around other characters).
I'd like to see some Epilogue DLC, or prologue DLC where you play as Doviculus and rise to power, since the tainted coil is a really cool faction to play as.
But I wouldn't like to see a sequel, I like the game as a standalone. Double Fine is way too creative to be tied down to one independent property.
