His video game career was abysmal and ended on a sour note due to the release of Bubsy 3D. His first, and only, 3D debut was panned by critics and fans alike. Since then, there have been no other games starring him, most likely due to the lack of popularity and the closing of Accolade.
Bubsy also stared in a pilot for his own cartoon series, but it was never picked up.





Bubsy was a wise-cracking, anthropomorphic bobcat who starred in a series of mascot-based platform games in the mid 90's.
Bubsy stared in a series of 2D side-scrolling platformers that rode on the popularity on other successful mascot franchises, mainly Sonic the Hedgehog. He was noted for wisecracks and cartoony personality; the latter most relevant in his death animations which included breaking into shards of glass and deflating like a balloon.
