Hey Guys just went to Best Buy today and found Bulletstorm for ten bucks. I wanna buy it but need to know if the online community is still active at all or if it is completely dead. Mostly because of my completionist streak I need to know because I will be trophy hunting and I know the game has some online trophies. Just wanna know general opinions of the game thoughts and what people thought of the game at large. Ten dollars gives me nothing really to lose so unless you guys can convince me otherwise I'll probably make the purchase tmw.

    It had a co-op mode.

I don't know how active it is, but I'm sure there will be games going on. It's still worth it for the single player content. Co-op was the most "meh" part of the game. For $10, it's a no brainer.

    From Wikipedia:

Bulletstorm does not have any competitive multiplayer modes, preferring instead to include cooperative online play as well as score attack modes.

It had a multiplayer mode where you and a bunch of friends chose a map and got many points. Anarchy mode, i guess...

EDIT: Yep, Anarchy Mode. It was a Horde Mood i believe.

All is well, everyone makes mistakes. It's not often you'll come across an admirable individual who will own up to them, though.

It was a pretty forgettable mode, actually. The only thing i remember about it: It had a Zero Punctuation reference on it.

The online community? for Bulletstorm? If the need for or lack of an online community for its very very shallow online component was or is a determining factor in anyone buying or not buying it you are doing it wrong. Bulletstorm is a 99% single player shooter, the only reason anyone should buy or play the game is for the fantastic campaign.

The community is probably dead by now. It's a great rental. I had a lot of fun with and I think it's worth it.

It's a no-brainer. I only played two hours or so, and none of the multiplayer, and I'd still pay twenty bucks for what I've played.

If its for PC i would say no. However, for $10 its a bargain and it was really surprising in every way.

You should get Bulletstorm for the single player, not the forgettable multiplayer that to be honest wasn't even active at launch.

Thanks for all of the input on the game guys. Just wanted to clear this up by saying I am not a big fan of online multiplayer I actually find it a hassle in most games. I would be purchasing Bulletstorm for the supposedly fantastic single player which is rare in FPS's these days. I mentioned at the start that the completionist streak in me is the only real reason I would be playing online and I just wanted to know if it was even possible to play anymore. Once again thanks for the thoughts and I am looking forward to picking up my first shooter of 2012 (sorry Syndicate you will have to wait) i'll let you guys know how it goes...when I get to it lol too many games!

Regardless of the multiplayer, Bulletstorm is a fucking great game at standard price.

Cheaper than most modern XBLA games, it's a steal. BUY IT NOW.

I got it for $5 on a Steam deal, and it was very well worth it. It's quite a fun shooter.

"What? What does that even mean? You're gonna kill my dick?! ! I'll...I'll kill your dick! How 'bout that, huh?!"

The PC version was fine. For $10 it's still a bargain. Game looks great maxed out at 1080p, runs fine as it's UE3 and while the graphics options are a little limited and it has GFWL, I really never understood all the hate it got on PC.

It was a great, fun, dumb game. Shame nobody cared.

I paid 5 bucks for it on steam and it is definitely well worth it, I haven't gone into the multiplayer but for that price you really can't go wrong. As for the community I have no idea but maybe you could get some duders on the site to play with you.

Officially purchased. Thanks for the answers. I do worry that now I am a part of this community it will lead to you duders convincing me to purchase more and more games...thanks :D. Oh and also to anyone who reads this tripe both Bulletstorm and Brutal Legend are ten dollars at Toronto Best Buys (mine is in Etobicoke but think they're clearing inventory of both.) If you are interested go get em now cause I missed my opportunity to pick up Alpha Protocol at the same price.

So I loaded this game back up last night on the Xbox. People are still playing anarchy mode apparently. And people still don't know how to play either....
