    Bully

    Franchise »

The Bully franchise consists of only the first game and its re-release. A sequel has been rumored from time to time, but never confirmed.

Bully is ridled with graphical issues.

Screen tearing is all over the place. The framerate is very inconsistent. The game freezes a lot. It's a good game for that price, but be aware. The game comes riddled with problems.

The game is $3.74 during the Rockstar games publisher sale. On Xbox 360.

Shame to see the 360 version still busted. I think the PC version is better now.

I guess I got lucky, but I played the the entirety of the 360 version without issue. And that was before the patch that made the game better/worse

Well, that's not good. That is thw problem with games form the 32Bit and 64 bit eras, so many of the games where put on the system without standards for how they used system resources. That makes them hard to emulate, but it also makes trying to get them to work on updated systems (even with the same generation) difficult.

I had no issues when I played it on my Xbox 360. I played the hell out of it and S-Ranked it and saw nothing. I have the disc though I did install it to the HDD.

I remember playing the retail release for 360 a great deal, this was a couple of years ago but I don't recall any major issues outside of those we typically tolerate from rockstar titles. Maybe this is an issue effecting the digital dl release.

Yeah, the 360 port is quite buggy and was never afforded a comprehensive patch to fix the more glaring issues.

I played/beat the PC version earlier this month and only ran into a bug or two, never ran into any graphical issues on Windows 7 64-bit and a current GPU. Too bad to hear the 360 version isn't great.

Honestly the only issue I had with the 360 version was the GTA IV frame rate, and I played a shitload of GTA IV, so I wasn't bothered at all.

Wait...the only issue you had with Bully was GTAIV's framerate?

Edit: Ohhhh, I see what you were saying.

Yep, welcome to the month leading up to GTA IV when this port dropped. Rushed out the door as to not compete with their other open world product while drumming up hype for the genre itself.

I sincerely doubt there was ever any worry that Bully would compete with GTAIV. It had been out for years already. More likely it was rushed to meet the same window as GTAIV, R* hoping their fans would buy it.

Ah yes the infamous Microsoft $40K+ patch process...

You bet your ass Rockstar didn't think it was worth it to patch the issues...

I finished it a month ago. Put 30 hours into it and had one lock up that did lose me a chunk of time but that was it. Had no graphical issues at all and the loading times between inside and outside were low, like 5 seconds. I loved it.

Am I the only one who beat the game, got pretty much all of the achievements, but didn't think the game was very good?
