Bumbledore? Really?

#1 Posted by Winternet (8082 posts) -

C'mon, really? "You play as the apprentice of the great bee-wizard Bumbledore". Are you serious? This is from the guys that made Altitude, which was a decent, interesting game.

Just sue their asses Potter, Lda or whoever owns that franchise. Confusion on the marketplace, right? Bumbledore, pffft. Sue their asses for severe case of lazyness! GOD!

I facepalm with agreement.

Bumbledore is a 100% original bee-wiza...

Wait is that a bee that is a wizard or is it a wizard who can transform into a bee?

Hopefully this will be a Fumbledore and will go on to make the developers more of a Humbledore.

#9 Posted by Bribo (609 posts) -

This is an insult to bees.

#10 Posted by Cogzwell (266 posts) -

Wow! It seems like this game is getting everyone "buzzing" with disapproval!

#11 Posted by AlexanderSheen (5150 posts) -

I see what they did there.

#12 Posted by IAmNotBatman (663 posts) -

I guess anybody who buys this will get stung.

I'm a bee wizard, and that looks *some sort of bee sex pun*-ed up.

#18 Posted by abdo (1044 posts) -

I don't bee-lieve it

#19 Posted by Jaytow (711 posts) -

Bumbledores got style.

#20 Posted by NegativeCero (3052 posts) -

I was hoping it would at least be about an incompetent wizard.

#21 Edited by countinhallways (630 posts) -

Um, excuse me, but this is actually a fantastic name for a bee wizard. Also:

Now for a suitably cringe-worthy pun... everybody calm down and bee-hive themselves? Hmm, that is actual kind of a double pun. It will do for now.

EDIT: Aha! I guess you could say that you all think that Bumbledore is an a-pollen name for the character. Perfect ლ(ಠ_ಠლ).

anyone who buys this deserves it

Hairy Potter & The Golden Snatch

Now there is a game I'd play.

#25 Posted by LordAndrew (14430 posts) -
I just beat Honeyhold Keep, and I can safely say this is the best game about a bee wizard I've ever played.

The game itself looks quite good, and I approve of more Harry Potter-inspired things as let's face it. Before Harry Potter wizards and witches were total suck. Harry Potter is a far more appealing universe.

#28 Posted by BionicMonster (1032 posts) -

I think Beezlebug is way less creative.

I'd pollinate that!

I'm going through it now, plan to have a review of it up by the end of this week.

First CBS buys Giant Bomb and now this.

I jest. I didn't even realize this was the Altitude guys. I loved that game. This, however, sounds like a doofy meeting joke that got taken too far.

#43 Posted by MikeLemmer (627 posts) -

Just posted my review of it. I blazed through it in an hour, but its emphasis seems to be on getting a high score for each level through precise spell placement. Although it seems geared for kids (I suspect a grade schooler would love this game), some of those last levels were getting tough and I suspect mastering some of them could be hair-pullers. Just the type of indoctrination into the chase for the high score I like.

Oh, and Bumbledore is not mentioned past the title screen, so exposure to bad puns is kept to a minimum.
