As private investigator Jack Walters, you must investigate mysterious disappearances in the town of Innsmouth. This investigation takes you deep into the dark and unsettling world of H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos.
Keep in mind though, the game does have its fair share of issues; overall, though, I thought it was a great horror experience (some parts were genuinely disturbing). Just make sure that you're able to put up with the fact that the game is decidedly a janky and sloppy port.
Yes!! (Wasn't it just on sale though?) yea I probably will be able to put up with it (I liked Duke Nukem Forever on 360)
It's a very flawed game that makes up for its failings with truly great moments. 10 $ is well worth it in my opinion. I'm biased though since I'm a huge Lovecraft fan and especially like the whole Cthulhu mythos. Do you? Or what is your motivation to try it?
Either way it is a fairly original game that does horror/ terror right even without resorting to jump-scares all the time. Gameplay is hit and miss and can get frustrating (FUCK that refinery level for making me use a walkthrough!). I played on PC and there's a pretty crucial patch out for it, so don't forget about that.
