I honestly didn't even know it was Sam Worthington until somebody said something and then began to immediately hate the voice acting. I think that makes me biased. Oh well, I'll survive. 

I didn't find it all that bad. It was somewhat bothersome that he switched between American accent and Australian accent, but I got over it. I like his voice.

I couldn't give a shit where Alex Mason is supposedly "from." It's not really relevant to the story anyway.
 
Worthington did a pretty great job (considering other celebrity voicework) at conveying emotion.

I was a bit shocked at how harsh Jeff was too. I'm not saying his acting was incredible but it definitely wasn't a negative point in the game for me.

Every time I read his name I'm simply upset that he's not Cal Worthington. 
 

 

He was the worst thing about that game for me.

I find him to be perfectly fine as a voice actor in the game. I thought he was pretty good in it actually.

His acting was fine, and I was pleasantly surprised with his performance in Terminator Salvation, but I am starting to see the limitations of his versatility, which is a shame. It just feels like he doesn't want to commit to the voice of the characters.

never seen him in a movie so it didn't bother me at all during the campaign.  i can't help but laugh at people who play a game and get annoyed by a voice actor.   OH NO i don't like his voice...im not playing this game... tissues

ya i have an austrailian teacher and ya, that accent was painful.  it was really annoying when he said a few things with his australian accent...  but overall i enjoyed the campaign

Just a bit with his accent. It made me feel slightly disconnected.

Having a faux Aussie character in a VG game is almost refreshing.

Jeff Gerstmann is an idiot. Sam Worthington did a great job in this game.

What doesn't Jeff compain about?

I've heard worse voice acting in a video game.  Far worse actually.

I've only played the first mission but I don't mind it. 
 
They said he was born in Alaska, but they didn't say he wasn't Australian.  Maybe his parents are?  I don't know, not everyone born in the U.S. has to sound "like an american"

I'm just confused on what his character is supposed to be.  He sounds american for a while, but then out of no where he has an accent.  

Only because i don't really care. Once I paid attention, though, it was terrible. Doesn't sound close to American at all. Anyway, is it just me or is Nolan north disappearing from games?

He sounds like a dis-interested Australian in nearly every line he says.

His voice work sucked but it's really hard to care.  The single player part of this game is pretty dang dumb. Not saying it's good or bad, just really, really dumb.

I think his voice work was just fine. I did notice the accent a couple of times, but it is blown out of proportion by complainers. I think those people have a skewed perception of the voice acting because they don't like Sam's movie acting.

I just let it wash over me, like I tend to do with all my entertainment, and thought it was fine.  If you just focus on killing and the main plot, the game is pretty great.

I thought it was fine, and I really didn't ever think "Hey, that's an Australian accent".  It was definitely solid enough for a video game, especially in comparison to many other video games.  Plus what little Australian there is could be passed off as his parents were originally from Australia or something.  He did over-do some lines though, especially the *SPOILERS?* "NUMBERS AHH" parts.  I have to say, whoever did Woods (I can't remember), did a good job, as I really liked Woods and could see him becoming a Soap-tier character.  Also Ice Cube was awesome.

I don't particularly like him, but I also don't mind him. I also think Jeff seemed a bit harsh on him in the review.

The face they made for him before levels looks like Commander Shepherd from ME to me.  They should'a used his voice.
 
Then maybe the game might'a sold some copies.

I personally think he was awesome.

It annoyed me hearing his stupid ass australian accent.

I think Sam Worthington sounds much better at the end of the game than the beginning. He doesn't sound like he's going to say "mate" after every sentence by the end of the game.

I don't mind Sam Worthington.
 
It seemed like a petty nitpick in the review, and again in the QL.

I had no problem with him, I thought Jeff was a little overly harsh in him criticism. But hey, differing opinions and all that.

Having him act with people such as Ed Harris and Gary Oldman did not help at all. I would wish that the main character would have had a better voice actor when the rest of the cast is of such high quality.
