What's the point of making Black Ops for the wii and ds? That seems like just a waste of money on developing it. Who else thinks this? I know, people who don't have consoles or pc PROBABLY buy it. But who does buy it? And when do you ever hear about how much it sold? 

I know this belongs under the Black Ops page, but idk how to switch it from general discussion to Black Ops. Help?

There are still a lot of "core" gamers among Nintendo's fanbase, and this isn't the first time Activision has released a CoD game on the DS and Wii. In fact Gamespot gave the Wii and DS versions of CoD 4 pretty good reviews so the stuff can't be all that bad, and if Activision are releasing CoD on these platforms again I guess that means they sold at least adequately on them last time round. I also alerted the mods about moving this thread to the correct board.

The masses that don't know any better buy it. I work with several people whom I found out today own a Wii and over 50 games for it. They are the same kind of people who genuinely get excited for games like that cabela hunting game the guys have been pimping around the site recently.

Poor families that live out in the countryside and raise kids with mullets and purple sweatpants and make them homeschool and go to church all exclusively play the nintendo Wii, and will buy a game once every two years. They always get the Wii port of whatever Call of Duty is out that year. Because they are simple and don't know anything.

that might be how Black Ops was able to beat Modern Warfare 2 at launch. People who love COD will buy the game no matter what. People who hate it won't bother but gamers that have never tried it, they can buy it, after seeing all those ads, having more SKUs will only increase sales.

Hahaha! I will never play a game on a pc. To me, it looks hard as hell having to press a lot of buttons to do different things. I prefer everything on consoles. Much simpler then having 50 keys, only needing like 15 and needing to look at the keyboard just to play a game. That seems horrible! "
