I was interested for a sec, but then saw that the video's 16 minutes. No way am I watching that.

Plus, this is considered "Youtube spam" as posting a video without commentary on it is spam on these forums.

The point is that if someone can't be bothered to offer some commentary and discussion as context for a video that their posting into the forum, then there probably isn't a strong need for it to be posted. This isn't to say that there aren't amusing or interesting videos out there that don't need much more additional textual discussion from the poster, but that there isn't enough to justify turning the forums into nothing but a bunch of whoring out youtube channels and thousands of "I lolled at this video" crap. Which, actually, is what the forums were starting to turn into awhile ago, before this started being enforced.

@Branthog: I wasn't aware there was a period in which this rule wasn't being enforced...it's been years since the rules were written and YouTube spam has always been prohibited and enforced. Anyway, closing this and the reasons have already been cited.
