OK so i need to write something in the ol' blogosphere. So here it is! Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. In know there are basically two camps for this game. There are those who think it is one step short of god and play it endlessly. We shall call these 'fan boys' for arguments sake. Then there are those (usually the girlfriends and/or Battlefield players) who think it is a god awful waste of money and cannot see the attraction.

I consider myself leaning in the middle. It is, after all, just a game. From a lot of the on-line games I play, especially racing ones, it is fun, quick and a good time waster. Being a third year student I have very little time for games of late so this is a good one to just jump into, blast a couple of matches and get on with the stuff I'm supposed to be doing.

The single player is relatively short as most FPS' are these days. BUT! It really is a tonne and a half of fun. Zero G gun battles?!?! how cool is that! But yeh replay value once you've blasted the Veteran level is pretty much non existent. The Special Ops mode os a good laugh and a massive improvement on the MW2 version because now you can go on-line if your a lonely sod like me and have no friends to play with.

Sooooo all in all a decent game worth the money because you will actually play it for more than 10 hours before a trade in!

Like COD from COD 1 up to Black Ops but hate this game. Bought it as usual for the MP thinking it was just another COD game but found every map to be similarly bland and way too small. Played a bit of the SP on a PS3 and didn't care for it much but at least it was pretty much what I was expecting (haven't completed it yet tho). Wouldn't really say its accurate to say that people who hate the MP in MW3 are BF3 fan-boys tho as I play BF3 a lot now as its the FPS Multi-player game this time around that suits my tastes better. Whatever problems or dislikes I have with MW3 are to do with the game having nothing I enjoy about or tailoring it very specifically to one type of player instead of trying to find a balance, not to justify my BF3 purchase as I own both. Can't help but feel out off all the major games released in the Oct / Nov period this one is a pass unless your the COD fan that REALLY liked the tighter run & spray feelings of MW2 over the other ones.
