Hey guys remember when those black ops started running amok in London in WW3? Oh wait...

An ultra-violent computer game which features explosions and scenes of destruction on the London Tube and at the Houses of Parliament is to be released later this year.

Supporters of those affected by the 7/7 suicide attacks in July 2005, which killed 52 people, called for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 to be banned.

The game's trailer, which is described as 'inappropriate' for children, depicts military helicopters, rocket launchers and black-op style soldiers in balaclavas.

Call Of Duty 3(That's been out for years! Silly tabloid) has not yet received an age certification and shows soldiers running through the streets of London with machine guns while bombs explode and buildings tumble to the ground.

Big Ben is clearly visible as are police cars and a London bus amid the violent scenes.

In one particularly vivid shot, an armed soldier on a truck cuts in front of a Tube carriage, derailing and causing it to explode.

Other scenes show aerial attacks on New York and grenades exploding on the streets of Paris and Berlin.

The game, which can be pre-ordered for £45 and will be officially released on November 8, has a voiceover saying: 'It doesn't take the most powerful nations on earth to create the next global conflict, just the will of a single man.'

Vivienne Pattison, spokesman for campaign group Mediawatch UK, said: ‘I have concerns as these games are hyper-real(lol!) and take place in a landscape we are familiar with. In light of the fact we have just had the 7/7 inquests, it is in incredibly poor taste.'

(Kotaku spoilers!)

Activision, who make the game, said: 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is a fictional action game aimed at mature adults and set in World War Three. The scenes in the game are entirely fictional and are not intended to recreate any historical events.'

So because of terrorist attacks in London they can't make a war game featuring London? How many games have New York as a warzone? About a million. Utter garbage.

This was to be expected.

BAN THIS SICK FILTH. They do this with every major video-game release; it's their go-to. Just ignore them

Usual rubbish from the Mail. My first thought on seeing the trailer was who would be first. The Mail, Express or Keith Vaz to kick up a fuss over fiction.

Because the suicide attacks were TOTALLY the same thing that's depicted in MW3. People....

Every time someone links an article from Daily Mail, it seems like junk.  Kinda seems like Fox New's little brother across the pond or something.

I read UK tabloid and immediately knew it was the Daily Mail. I wouldn't waste my time with this drivel and you shouldn't either.

Pro tip: Never read the Daily Mail. Ever. If you think you may have read it please see a psychiatrist. You're gonna want him to dive in there and delete those memories. If you ever see it by accident, quickly gaze directly into the sun, it'll burn the image right off your retina.

"Well, how violent is it?"

Woah they are going to be PISSES when Mass Effect 3 comes out...

Reapers gonna reap the shit out of London, which is dangerously close to the Great Reaping of 1642, the conflict that saw a whole community of Shepards wiped out.

World War 2 actually happened and they made many a game based on it and yet fiction like this scares people to death.

It had become increasingly annoying to read these type of crap over the years, My main hobby is video games, I love them my and have played them since the start of home gaming, What really annoys me is the people who complain about games would like to see nothing better than to have all games banned.

We can have movies(that look allot more realistic than games) showing terrorist attacks in certain citys, Movies about war, sex, murder, drugs etc etc and its fine but when a game does it theirs hell on.
I think if this game was called "shooter x" their would be no mention of it but because its a big game the media jump on it as they know it will garner attention.

The one thing that is good IMO is the fact these people are a dying breed, In X amount of years time they will all be dead or retired and everbody that has taken their jobs will have grown up with games and the issue will dissapear, Its happened for years, Radio was killing people, then TV, Then movies, Rock/Rap music and now games.

These people will never win, The industry is to big and the people that hold the power to end gaming(Goverments) do not want to as it contributes a large amount of cash for them, Gaming will never end and certainly not a the hand of a few old farts.

I didn't know they included a mission which allows you to relive the 2005 suicide bombings!
