Spec-Ops was my favorite part of MW2. I can still remember the frustration on the oil rig level where you need to save the hostages in the room full of explosive barrels. Restarting 12 times only made getting that final 69th star that much sweeter.

I was seriously debating getting this, but from what I've seen of the campaign-

and the co-op missions and survival modes....It looks like a good time. I still have zero interest in the MP because BF3 has grabbed me and wont let go (I got 2 marksman headshots in a row worth 500+ points each on Operation metro the other day) but I want to see what Makarov does and why there is an achievement for saving the Russian president. Do I play as a Russian GRU in this game too?

I've heard talk from everyone except Brad Shoemaker that Spec Ops was complete shit and I never understood why. What's the GB forums view on it? If you hate it let me know why. If you like it maybe post your PSN ID or Gamertag and turn this into a co-op partner finding thread....I dunno.

I liked the Spec Ops stuff in MW2, but the regular multiplayer ended up taking me away from it before I got all the stars.
