I'm most likely only getting one game this summer and Call of Juarez is looking to be it. I'm a little worried about the multiplayer and length of the single player campaign so I'm going to wait for a few reviews to roll in. I was one of the few who really enjoyed the first and the second looks much better based on the gameplay videos. I expect a ton of reviews to come out tomorrow but it would be nice if a few came up today. The multiplayer modes look fun but I am worried about weapon/map variety as well. I'm hoping it turns out!

Waiting for Call of Juarez Reviews!

Well the original was nothing to applaud, I enjoyed it but it was pretty bad in places, so I don't see why people are looking forward to this once, i'd say if you can only but one game this summer, i'd look elsewhere.
Sure the gameplay was nothing special, but I really enjoyed the story book style feel the game had to it. The gameplay itself was pretty average and some didn't like the level design but for some reason the story/atmosphere of the game really pulled me in all the way until the end.
I enjoyed the gameplay/ story but my friend and i were playing it and we just kept getting lost or couldnt figure out where to go. Especally that part where you get a sniper and theres like a train. What the hell am i supposed to do! it didnt tell me anything. I also hated the dude with the whip, i hope they get rid of him.
This downloadable magazine (pdf file) has a review for it., they gave it 87%.

They seem pretty generous giving Prototype 84% and Red Faction 86% in that same magazine, but they clearly enjoyed it and said it was better than the first game in every way.
Also, here's a cool new multiplayer trailer on gametrailers.

Have to say, the voice acting is just terribly lame and bad......and lame. Really shoddy and lacks any type of character. Very disappointed, one thing any Western game has to get right is the "feel" of it being, you know, a Western. And it fails on that front.
" Well the original was nothing to applaud, I enjoyed it but it was pretty bad in places, so I don't see why people are looking forward to this once, i'd say if you can only but one game this summer, i'd look elsewhere. "Maybe because it IS possible that a sequel could improve upon the original. It's been known to happen.
Sure it has, but you shouldn't expect it to happen like that, it doesn't happen that often.
Ahem. Mega plug but - I got the game last week and reviewed it over the weekend and I loved every second of it. Great plot, lots of great set pieces, varied mechanics, rollercoaster like pace, likable characters.
Gave it 4/4. You can read my review here:

PS. everyone should at least rent the game because it rocks.
