    Freddy Freeman was a boy who was permanently injured by Captain Nazi on a fishing trip with his grandfather. After being taken to the wizard Shazam by Captain Marvel and Mary Marvel, he became Cap's sidekick. Most notably, entertainer Elvis Presley was a massive Captain Marvel Jr. fan and patterned many of his outfits after the hero.
