Carlos' older brother, Daniel, was also on the original MK cast, but was fired for appearing as Johnny Cage in a print ad for BloodStorm, a fighting game from Incredible Technologies. Many believe that Raiden, the character Carlos portrayed, was removed or left out from Mortal Kombat 3 as some form of punishment by association.
Carlos has remained at Midway though, and continues to work on the Mortal Kombat franchise. His martial arts training in the creation of the more style-oriented fighting of Deadly Alliance, Deception, and Armageddon.
The character Mokap, which debuted in Deadly Alliance, is a tribute to Carlos' work. Mokap's bio describes him as a martial arts specialist from the north side of Chicago.

Carlos Pesina is best known for his portrayal of the thunder god, Raiden, in the first two Mortal Kombat titles.
Carlos Pesina joined Midway in the early 1990's as a motion capture artist and animator using his martial arts skills to help develop the Mortal Kombat franchise.
