    Good, just not great

The first DLC for Castle Crashers is the "King Pack". It adds the King and Open Faced Gray Knight as playable characters, the King Mace and NG Golden Sword as weapons, and Pelter for a Animal Orb.

    The King

The King has a very unique magic ability, he can heal himself and nearby teammates with his splash magic. Although the amount healed is low, the spell costs so little it can be spammed and adds up quickly. His projectile attack is a dagger that does a decent amount of damage. Also, YOU GET TO BE THE KING!!!

    Open Faced Gray Knight

The Open Faced Gray Knight has no surprises. You ever play the Gray Knight? Same deal, but now you can see his face. Only a plus if you like the gray knight.

    King Mace

The first weapon you get as the King. It has a level 20 requirement on it so only your more advanced characters can use it. Gives +3 STR, +3 DEF, and +3 MAG. Overall a very good weapon for a Jack of all trades character. Not so good if you plan on specializing. A welcome addition to the weapon's frog.

    NG Gold Sword

This weapon is named such because there already is a gold sword. It only has a level 1 requirement so any character can use it. It gives +1 MAG, +1 DEF, and +6 STR. Overall an extrememly good weapon for anyone who loves strenght as it gives the highest strength bonus of any weapon. It can make a big difference in the damage you do, even at higher levels. One of my personal favorites, for leveling and general play.

    Pelter

The new animal orb, Pelter, is a baby seal. It periodically shoots out snowballs at enemies, damaging them. It also is adorable. This orb can be useful, especially in the lava levels, but isnt the best for general use. It does not attack very often but its attacks do a good amount of damage. (It did 50 damage to enemies during a later level for me) I believe its damage is tied to your magic skill, so if you want the most out of Pelter, get your magic on. If you like the install ball, you will love Pelter. If you don't, you may just want to pass him up.

Overall the King DLC pack gives you about what you would expect for only costing $2. Saying that, it isnt that much. A few more level to play in would be much more appreciated. What you get is all very good depending on what your play style and preferences are, but there isn't a whole lot of content. With just one more character, weapon, or orb, I would have given this a 5 but, its just not there. With that out of the way this is a great addition to a great game and should not be passed up by any fan.
