Cerberus is a creature from Greek and Roman myth commonly depicted as a three-headed dog. It guards the gates of the underworld for the god Hades, preventing those who cross the River Styx from ever escaping.
The right-hand man of Count Dracula, Death is easily recognized by his giant scythe and ominous cloak. Not the same Death who appears in other games.
Servant and convicted accomplice of the notorious Elizabeth Báthory
Dracula is the antagonist of Bram Stoker's 1897 Gothic horror novel Dracula. He has been featured in many video games, primarily in Castlevania.
A legendary countess, infamous for her many and varied sadistic crimes, most famously torturing as many as 600 innocent young women to death, with pop culture inaccurately suggesting that she bathed in their blood to stay young forever.
Eric Lecarde was the secondary playablecharacter in Castlevania: Bloodlines. He is the ghost known as "Wind" in Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin.
Officially he is "Frankenstein's monster", as the book was named after his creator, Victor Frankenstein, not the monster made of reanimated pieces of dead bodies. Nonetheless, the name stuck with the populace, and "Frankenstein" has been lumbering through horror movies and games alike for decades.
An artificial construct that appears in Castlevania Judgment created by Carmilla. It acquired a soul and self-awareness upon entering the time rift.
John Morris is one of two playable characters from Castlevania: Bloodlines.
Marie Antoinette was an Austrian noble who eventually became Queen of France. Despite what Freddie Mercury would have you believe, she very likely never said "let them eat cake".
Medusa is often portrayed in games as a creature that is a cross between a woman and a snake. The lower body is often a snake tail, and the hair is usually a mass of snakes. Other than this, the head and torso are that of a woman.
Initially disguised as the ghost of Marie Antoinette, the Princess of Moss (or "Moths") is a dangerous insectoid boss in Castlevania Bloodlines.
A giant of bronze forged by Hephaestus on the order of Zeus to protect Europa. He is described as the guardian of the Golden Fleece in the Argonautica.
