Dracula's castle has risen from the mist and the Belmont heir is missing! The open-ended gameplay mixed with RPG mechanics in this installment of Castlevania platformers set the template for later games in the series (coining the term "Metroidvania").
I'm definitely going with Original English, although each of the three audio sets has its perks. For me, Original English wins because of the dialogue. My favorite part about the Japanese audio is Richter yelling, "HYDRO STORM!!!" It's just so much more intense in the Japanese audio. As for Redone English, the only part of it that I prefer over the other two is how - right before the Minotaur/Werewolf fight - Alucard says, "YOU'RE A BELMONT!!!" His delivery of that line is just perfect.
