If you're looking for an announcement about Catherine getting localized, keep looking, because they just confirmed today that there are no plans to bring it overseas quite yet.

It would be a darn shame if ATLUS does not ship Catherine to North America. NIS America got Hyperdimension Neptunia to North America, so why can't ATLUS do the same?

Sorry, I hate trolling, but I think people need to get these hype motives out of their head when it comes to two things: 

1. Atlus games coming stateside
2. Japanese games in general coming stateside

They'll eventually localize it, although I now doubt the game would get a full-on dubbed translation. 

This doesn't mean anything. They'll bring it when they bring it.

They're not going to announce that they're localising it just because someone asked if they are.

Well, even if it didn't, I don't see how giving money to the JP branch of Atlus will influence the US branch descisions at al..  Also, the Atlus of today is a much larger company then the Atlus of 5 years.  Also, Dante inclusion in Nocturne had nothing to do with western audiences. To be honest.....did Dante ever make it in the original US version? I know he did in the Pal one, but I'm pretty sure the standard US version didn't had Dante. "

Only reason Dante came to Nocturne was because Kazuma Kaneko was involved with designing Dante's Devil Trigger amongst other things in Devil May Cry 3, so they thought it was a fair trade.

Or, you know, they totally have plans but aren't going to destroy their marketing plan by telling some random gaming website that just asks them out of the blue what their plans for the game are.  I'm sure there's no chance of that being the case at all.

You mean in terms of popularity? Persona, maybe, but I disagree if we're talking about SMT games in general. I highly doubt Catherine would lose out to any of 'em. I mean, hell, compare the view count of the Persona 2 thread and the Catherine thread at the official Atlus forums.  Catherine is way higher. And remember when SMT:SJ came out? didn't make anywhere near the same impact Catherine did. "
