For A Cartoon Lady, Catherine Is Pretty Hot

Famitsu has revealed the next game from Atlus--specifically the team responsible for the Persona games, which immediately makes it more interesting around these parts. It's Catherine, and it's some sort of action-adventure thing involving freaky, tie-wearing animals and a "mysterious woman" named... Catherine. It looks kind of hot, here's the first trailer:

If you're not into the whole "hey, this is in Japanese" thing, andriasang.com has dissected a bit of it, along with some of the other info to come out of Famitsu's coverage. The game's official site will launch next week, and the game is destined for release on PlayStation 3 and 360 this Winter... in Japan, anyway.

Don't really know how to respond to this game, glad to see that Atlus is finally making HD games but I really want Persona 5 to come out on PS3 as soon as possible

The look of this game is pretty amazing and it looks really weird, I hope they release it in other territories soon after Japan gets it

Am I wrong in taking a hint from the "Nocturne" that pops up early in the video? I expect it's related to the SMT of the same title. Let's hope getting it across the seas goes well.

I guess as a reward for their work on Persona 4, they let the team do their full on crazy game. This looks like pure madness. I WANT IT.

I have no idea what the hell is going on, but good on Atlus for using (what seem to be) 20 somethings instead of the usual teenage protagonists we seen in games like this.

And by games like this I mean WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?

They'll bring it over. But sadly we'll probably have to wait a year or so for it .

I'm with Jeff on this one. Catherine is pretty hot... for a cartoon.

I'm taking a wild guess that Atlus are experimenting making a full 3D game with this game and honing their skills so that they can make sure they do Persona 5 (which is their marque series) right.

Have to admit that trailer looks really really interesting. It has style to spare. I'd be intrigued to learn about the overall storyline and themes it explores even if I never play it.

The first game developed by Atlus for the PS3/Xbox 360. Made by the Persona Team, The game is an "adult oriented" action-adventure/horror game with puzzle platforming stages.
