The second member of Takaya's group. She carries a large hand axe attached to a chain, which she throws as an attack. When she first appears, she is cold and unfeeling, but through befriending Junpei, her heart warms and she learns to care about life.

Profile

Chidori's Persona, Medea

In Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3, Chidori is one of the three members of Strega, along with Jin Shirato and their leader Takaya. She and the others were subjected to secret experiments meant to give children unable to wield a Persona the power to do so. Though she survived the experiments and is able to use the Persona Medea, she and the other Strega members have had their lifespans greatly reduced, and the only way that they can survive is by taking regular doses of medication to keep their Personae under control. Together, she and Strega are plotting their revenge and are using the Dark Hour for their own goals.

In the original version of Persona 3, Chidori dies after betraying Strega for Junpei. However, in Persona 3: FES, an alternate story path was added, allowing Chidori to survive and be cured of her Persona-related condition at the cost of her memory, stretching back to when her Persona was first awakened.

However, The Answer, the epilogue also contained in FES seems to establish in canon that Chidori was not revived, as Junpei expresses having a desire to go back in time and see her again.

Voice Actress

Chidori is voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro in the Japanese version of Persona 3, while voiced by Mona Marshall in the English version.
