Christopher Fowler is the author of more than two dozen novels and collections of stories. His most well-know works are mysteries, but he has also worked on graphic novels and is the author of a Sherlock Holmes radio drama. His works span several genres, often within a given work. His most prolific and popular series, known as the Peculiar Crimes Unit novels (or the Bryant and May novels) follows a fringe London Police Unit and it's lead detectives as they pursue dangerous and often supernatural-seeming criminals around London. Fowler's stories often feature elements of logical puzzles, the supernatural, the occult and obscure alongside more traditional criminal occurrences. Accordingly, his characters do the same, engaging in both standard police procedures and delving into obscure myths and legends about London's more sordid history to solve their mysteries.
