The mental and emotional condition (confidence, doubt) of an individual or group with regard to the function or tasks at hand.
Close Combat has multiple endings based on which side you played (Allies or Germans), how long it took you to reach the end of the game, and how many casualties you sustained. For the Allies the best ending is achieved if you push the Germans back to Saint-Lo in the fewest number of battles with the fewest number of casualties. For the Germans the best ending is achieved by slowing the Allies advanced to Saint-Lo. The Germans cannot win in Close Combat 1, they can merely slow the Allies down.
Video game combat in which combat actions are performed in real-time, rather than through a turn-based structure.
