    Mario under the effects of the Cloud Suit.

    After collecting the cloud flower item, a shake of the Wii remote while Mario is in midair or on the ground will create a square-shaped cloud platform directly below him, so he lands in the center of it. Each time Mario collects a cloud flower, the number of charges on the suit refreshes to three. 
     
    The platforms created are lightweight and only partially solid. They start moving immediately when created if wind is present, and Mario can stomp through the cloud to come out the bottom and continue falling. 
     
    Mario loses the cloud suit when he comes in contact with water. Naturally, almost every cloud flower is surrounded by water. If Mario tries to jump on a cloud without the cloud suit, the cloud will not support him and disappear. The power up is also lost when Mario is damaged by an enemy.
