    College Hoops 2K6 is the first game in the series to be released on the Xbox 360. Like the other 2K6 sports games, it features a small list of achievements that are extremely basic and easy to obtain.

    The game was released on March 7th, 2006 and was the first region exclusive game released on the Xbox 360 as the game never saw release in the European or Asian territories.

    The cover athlete is Marvin Williams, a small forward who played for one year with the University of North Carolina. The Atlanta Hawks drafted him with the second overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft; in July 2012, the Hawks traded him to the Utah Jazz. UNC coach Roy Williams is featured in the background.
