CNC:Red Alert 3 is a game made by EA LA. The game is set in a time where communist was falling apart, The Russian Premier,General and the lead scientist Time-travel their way back in time to stop the main person who is their loss,Albert Einstein. They Deleted him from the timeline and they went back to their time. Where they found out that they are invading most of Europe, Along with creating a new foe, the empire of the rising sun. This lead the war to a three-way fight.
The gameplay is like as most other RTS game. Build,Defend,Attack and Wipe out your Foe. This time round, Each faction has a style of building. The Soviet build by placing building right on the ground and they would build. The Allies build through how all the old CNC games were [Buy,Build,Place] . While the most interesting is the empire of the rising sun, They are the most mobile base. They order their units from their construction site, coming out in a small vehicle, and they could place it anyway they like.This open a lot of strategy for the game,which is cool.
The Game Story is sweet and dramatic much like how its predecessor were,except even better. The movies are great too. The cast is amazing with people like Peter Stomare and Tim Curry.
Two new Feature of this game makes the game unique from the rest. One of it, is Co-op Gameplay. Every mission is played in pairs, The commander [player 1] and the Co-commander[ Player 2/ AI] . They either can play with an AI or with a real human mind. Ultimately, the way you invite people to join you is bugged, as they wont send you feedback whether the other party has accepted your invitation to join or not.
The other Feature is Naval combat. Not a single game has gone into this field of battle. Which is cool, Now you have to master not only the land and sky,but the Sea as while. This open more ground for strategizing
Another Great feature being brought from the Counter-part of Red alert ,Tiberium War, Is the feature of Special ability. Using them is free in this game and they can do a lot of help for a player
Unfortunatedly, The game has many issues. One of them is the fact that Co-op Gameplay with a friend makes the game somewhat easier since both player can use special ability. This results in a sense of imbalance in the game.
The other Problem is Pathfinding. Sometimes,unit will just walk straight into enemy line instead of taking a closer yet safer route. Hopely they fix this bug soon.
The Game Graphics arent too nice too even at very high Quality, but the art design for every unit, is stunning as it feels more cartoony rather than dark and warfare-mayhem. But to be frank, The graphic isnt the best,but its cool
Ultimately, the game is a stunning yet beautiful game,but many issues in the game makes this game feels like a need for polishing and a rush for release. If you are a RTS lover or a Fan of RA3, This game wont disappoint you much.
